THE PEOPLE BEHIND 

Veteran restaurateurs Rachel Magi and her husband Andrea Magi own several Italian restaurants. Rachel, raised in Jerusalem, is the daughter of a British mother and an Israeli father. Andrea is a native of Italy, well known there as an Olympic boxer and medalist at the European Championships in the 1980s.

 

The Magis’ restaurants include the Calata 15 restaurant in Pizarro, Italy; three Italian restaurants in London (the La Pappardella restaurant and two branches of the Mascalzone restaurant) as well as the Made in Italy restaurant in Manchester. Now, after many years residing in London, Italy and the US, the couple has decided to settle in Israel, so that their children can enjoy Israeli education, and we can enjoy authentic, traditional Italian food.
